Alt Server is a server distribution kit based on the Linux kernel with wide functionality that allows you to support corporate infrastructure, as well as various additional equipment. The distribution is available in several versions: for x86 (32 and 64 bit), AArch64 (Huawei Kunpeng, ThunderX and others), ppc64le (YADRO Power 8 and 9, OpenPower), e2k and e2kv4 ("Elbrus").

The server management system has more than 100 modules and allows you to work through a graphical or web interface.

The distribution can also be used as a developer's workstation.

Alt Server is an enterprise-level solution that allows you to migrate to import-substituting software and hardware.

The Alt Server distribution kit is included in the Unified Register of Russian Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases.

Alt Server provides 3 types of domain controllers:

Samba-DC (Active Directory domain controller). Recommended for authentication of Windows and Linux workstations (heterogeneous network).
FreeIPA. Recommended for authentication of Linux workstations. You can configure group policies for users.
ALT domain (based on OpenLDAP and MIT Kerberos). Recommended for authentication of Linux workstations.

Alt Server provides the most complete set of services and environments for creating a corporate infrastructure:

database servers PostgreSQL, MariaDB;
Squid proxy;
Apache web server
mail servers Postfix, Dovecot;
Spamassassin anti-spam server;
monitoring system Zabbix;
network boot server;
tools for creating a repository mirror for centralized updating of workplaces managed by Alt Workstation.

Also available on the x86 platform:

group work server with Microsoft Exchange functionality;
PVE virtual machine management system;
an environment for creating and managing infrastructure cloud services and OpenStack cloud storages;
tool for installing and loading operating systems over the network.

Alt Server can efficiently manage heterogeneous networks and diskless clients. To build an office infrastructure as part of import substitution, it is recommended to use Alt Workstation together with the product as a stable and reliable solution.

The main language of the Alt Server interface is Russian, you can also choose additional languages.
