About the Simply Linux distribution

The history of Simply Linux began in 2009, when the developer of the ALT Linux Team, Denis Koryavov, released the first version of a distribution kit for home and office, aimed at a novice user. In 2010, Denis transferred the development to Alt Linux, which released several more versions of the distribution kit based on its platform.

At present, the development of Simply Linux is continued by the Basalt SPO company. The developer tries to adhere to the basic principles set by the author of the distribution kit with the first release: a small number of functional Russified programs, ease of use, user-friendly interface, minimum hardware requirements. The distribution license has also remained unchanged - Simply Linux can be downloaded and used without restrictions.
